Splashes of Colors

Yesterday, my whole family went out for some family time. It's great because we could finally relax and hang out together after a while. So, I picked out this casual dress from Et Cetera which my mom - of course - sent from Jakarta. It's my first time wearing it and I paired it with a pair of basic black leggings from H&M.

Easy, Breezy

It's been around 2 weeks since I am officially a university student and it's been hard - in this case, for my wardrobe - because I have to cleverly mix and match all my clothes to create new looks everyday. But this was one of my favorite look because it's super comfortable for all of my university activities throughout the day.

Idul Fitri

Last Idul Fitri holiday, as usual my whole family and all of my aunties and their families all gather at my grandma's house. FYI, my whole family is Muslim except for my mom who lives in Jakarta and I (we are Christians), so we have the tradition of coming together and asking for forgiveness. And the best part for me and all of my cousins is, of course, the little envelope with some money in it ;))

I'm back!

"Not a Story about Forgiveness"

These past few months, I've been hooked by a TV series that just completely has blown my mind which is called Revenge.

OMG!

Sooo... great news guys! I'm just sooo excited to share to anyone & I decided to post it here. I didn't tell many people that actually after I got accepted in the Medical Dentistry Faculty, I still tried other tests to get into the Airlangga University's Medical Faculty. The first test didn't go so well & I didn't get accepted. I was a little bit disappointed, but I said to myself, "This is your challenge, so keep on trying! Don't give up!". So I signed myself in for the university's last test.

The test was held on Sunday, 29th of July which was last Sunday. It was more difficult in my opinion. So after the test, I thought, "Well, you've done the best you can & just leave the rest to God..".

After the excruciating wait... finally last night I was able to see the announcement online, and...I GOT ACCEPTED!!

 Finally all those hard work for more than a year had paid off :)) My parents congratulated me & some of my friends also sent me texts-thanks guys! :* And of course HUGE thanks to God, because without Him this couldn't have happened..

 Finally it was the day that I've been waiting for! My birthday bash was held on 10th September, 2012 at TV Bar, Hotel Bumi Surabaya. The reason I chose this location was because the whole atmosphere of the bar was already so appropriate that it didn't need too much additional decoration. Let the speakeasy begin!

My Party Inspiration

Hey guys! Finally I'm making my first official blog entry. So last year I held my sweet 17 birthday bash, and I went with the theme: 1920's. I don't know, but there's just something about that era that's just very intriguing. The way everyone dressed, the parties-at that time they called it 'speakeasy'-, and just the whole ambiance.
So I'd like to share just a few pictures from the whole bunch that were my inspiration...

Day-1

 As I was browsing through the internet, I started thinking about a blog that I had always wanted to create, but never had the will - and time, with all the school work that had always interrupting me - to start. So, because now I'm a recently-graduated high-school er, well I say why not start now ;)

But a new problem arose, the blog title. Since the first time I wanted to start blogging, it has never occurred in my mind an idea of a great title. So I quickly start my hunt by searching from the always-trusted, Mr. Google. I searched for words that could really describe my blog as a whole but also sounds fantastic when someone reads it aloud. And suddenly, a word just came out of nowhere and got stuck in my head; Escapade.

I kept saying this word and thought, "Wow, it sounds really nice!"
so I decided to go with it, and finally this blog is born.

I think this word can really sums up what I expect this blog to be, which is an escape from my daily life, which I'm sure will be more and more hectic. For the record, I'm pleased to announce that I had recently been accepted in Airlangga University's Medical Dentistry Faculty! I'm a little bit disappointed that I couldn't get into their Medical Faculty but it's okay, I'm already so thankful that I got into one of the best university in Indonesia (well, it's okay to brag a little, right? ;)). One of my passion besides this is FASHION & I'm hoping that this blog will represent this passion.

I think this post is already too long & I'm sorry if I bore you, but I'm just so excited to start blogging! So lastly, I hope this blog will also be your "escapade" from the real world!
